Honouring our school's founder

On October 3rd 2024, we celebrated the completion of the restoration of George Green's tomb in Trinity Gardens, Poplar. The event was organised by Heritage of London as part of their Proud Places project. GGS students and our principal, Mr. Ryder, attended the event and gave speeches while laying special handmade wreaths to honour our school's founder. We are incredibly proud of our school's heritage! Read more about the day here #aspirationequalityexcellence

This is a very proud moment for me as current Principal of George Green's School. Today, the School is thriving thanks to George Green's vision and generosity. Tens of thousands of children have passed through our gates over the past 200 years. All of them have benefitted from George Green's belief in the importance of education. His tomb should stand as a symbol of the importance and significance of education. Thank you for giving us the opportunity to be part of this project." Jon Ryder, Principal
