Welcome to our useful resources page. These pages are designed for Students, Parents and Carers to provide you with more information about careers paths, Labour Market Information (LMI), Post 16 & 18 options and much more.

Students/Parents
Once registered, you will build your profile by identifying which skills and qualities you are strongest in, these are then “matched” to jobs you maybe suited to in the future. You will engaged with planned careers modules during your PSHCE programme with this being recorded in your “profile” on Start.
Delve deeper into the information to find out how many opportunities there maybe locally, what other jobs are similar and actual job openings. Discover what labour markets (LMI) are growing locally, nationally and internationally and what routes you could take at each transition. From A Levels to BTECs’ to T-Levels and Apprenticeships all the information is covered as part of our school career journey and mapped on Start.
However, with this website you can return to your profile repeatedly, as your skills develop and ideas change. Update your interests and change your skills and add more experiences as you move through your school careers journey.
Within George Green’s School Careers programme, students are provided with multiple opportunities to access impartial and independent advice and guidance.
Working directly with Tower Hamlets Careers Service and the Young WorkPaths team based in the heart of our borough, this team of fully qualified career professional provide our students with impartial guidance needed to make a success transition from school to further education, training or employment.
Students are given the opportunity to access this support and at key transition points in years 11 and throughout the sixth form. Students are provided with the opportunity for either individual guidance or small group guidance dependent upon their need in year 11 and again within the sixth form.
In addition to this, they are supported by the pastoral teams in the form of their Tutors, Year Lead, Careers Lead and other key members of the school community.

National Careers Service
A comprehensive careers website with job profiles. These profiles outline the skills required, main tasks, pay levels and career prospects for hundreds of different jobs. The NCS provides guidance on the different stages involved in getting a job.

T Levels
T Levels are new courses which follow GCSEs and are equivalent to 3 A levels. These 2-year courses, which launched September 2020, have been developed in collaboration with employers and businesses so that the content meets the needs of industry and prepares students for work, further training or study.
